Avery Sunshine

Avery Sunshine is a mercurial musician and singer who blends soul gospel jazz and R&B in her signature blend. She has performed on Broadway and at the Democratic National Convention and in concerts and festivals across Europe. Sunshine is Denise White. Although she's located in Atlanta Her roots lie in Chester Pennsylvania. There she initially began her journey as a musician, playing instruments and singing in church. In Atlanta she attended Spellman College where her musical training began on Atlanta's R&B Scene. The Fighting Temptations The single featuring her voice, Stalk You a House 12, was released only in Japan. It's been remixed many times, and it is a mainstay of her live performances. She also has contributed her vocals for The Fighting Temptations' soundtrack. She was then hired as the primary keyboardist in Tyler Perry's stage production Meet the Browns. Jennifer Holliday, a Grammy- as well as Tony Award winning vocalist who was part of the stage production Dreamgirls at the National Black Arts Festival of Atlanta in 2007, was approached to become the leader of the choral group for the production. Sunshine was caught the attention of America during 4 performances per day during the 2008 Democratic National Convention. Sunshine was later requested to sing with President Barack Obama at his inauguration.
